Into the Depths of Galapagos’ Shark Capital - a must if you are a licensed diver
Get ready for two unforgettable dives (45–60 minutes each) descending up to 20 meters into one of the most iconic underwater sites in the Galapagos. Kicker Rock—also known as León Dormido—is a massive volcanic formation split into deep channels that attract extraordinary marine life.
Here, certified divers have an excellent chance of encountering:
- Scalloped Hammerhead Sharks
- Galapagos Sharks & Blacktip Sharks
- Green Sea Turtles
- Eagle Rays & Stingrays
- Playful Sea Lions
- Barracudas, snappers, and swirling schools of tropical fish
- Spectacular coral-covered walls dropping into the blue
Between dives, enjoy a relaxed surface interval with refreshments before heading back into the water for your second immersion. Above the surface, keep an eye out for blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, and frigatebirds nesting on the dramatic cliffs.
To complete your adventure, the day also includes a stop at one of San Cristóbal’s beautiful beaches—Cerro Brujo, Manglesito, or Puerto Grande—depending on ocean conditions.
